For a first US order we normally recommend ODM: start from an existing certified construction, so you inherit the tested protection build and only pay for the cosmetic changes. That keeps both cost and minimum quantity down.

Sampling takes about 7 days after design confirmation, and production takes about 40 days after the approval sample. Payment terms are T/T and L/C, and we ship from the customer-designated port.

If your program needs UL classification testing, build that step into the timeline at enquiry stage - it is far cheaper to plan it up front than to discover it after the sample is approved.

Our standard MOQ is 500 pieces per colour. Because apron chaps avoid a full size grid, the total first order is usually much smaller than an equivalent trouser program.

Two more ways to keep the volume down: choose ODM (start from a pattern that is already certified and change only branding, reflective tape, pocket layout and colour), and specify the factory's in-stock certified anti-cut fabric - typically 6 to 9 layers of PE / polypropylene blend - instead of developing a new fabric.

No, not on its own. EN ISO 11393 is the European standard and is valid for the EU, UK and many other markets, but in the United States leg protection is generally expected to be UL Classified to ASTM F1897, and full trousers additionally fall under OSHA regulation 1910.266.

If your end users run battery-powered saws, raise ASTM F3325 with your laboratory as well. The practical advice: agree in writing, before you order, who owns the UL classification cost and timeline.

Yes. We manufacture apron-style chainsaw chaps (EN ISO 11393 Design B) alongside full chainsaw trousers. Apron chaps are our recommended starting point for brands testing the United States: they fasten with adjustable waist and leg straps instead of a full size grid, so you need far fewer SKUs and a smaller first order.

Compliance: our current production is built to EN ISO 11393-2. For the US market, UL classification testing to ASTM F1897 can be coordinated per your target market, arranged after order confirmation. We do not claim to hold a UL listing we do not have - it is a planned line item in the quotation, not a certificate we pretend to carry.
